Abby clears her throat constantly and we're trying to come up with a solution. Yesterday I told her "If you can go all day without clearing your throat I'll let you pick out something at the store." Abby replies, "Like an I-Pod Touch?!" I say, "Ah, no, I was thinking something for $5, not $500!"
Then, when putting her to bed, this is the conversation we had:
Abby - "Mommy, I just love you so much! I want to live with you forever! Can I?"
Mommy - "No, sweetie you will move out when you're an adult."
Abby - "I want you to marry someone else cuz I want to marry daddy."
Mommy - he he. "You'll marry someone that you'll fall in love with."
Abby - "I don't want to have kids."
Mommy - "Why not?"
Abby - "Well, should I?"
Mommy - "Of course! I'd love to be a grandma some day."
Abby - ""Will you always be my mom?"
Mommy - "Oh yes. Forever."
Abby - "Will you be like Gramma some day? Can I just live with you forever? Please!?"
Mommy - "Remember, you'll live on your own when you're old enough to."
Abby - "Can I visit you? Like, every day?"
Mommy - "Of course you can."
Abby - "Oh mommy, I just love you so much!"
That makes all the tantrums worth it.
