Happy BIRTHday to my new baby nephew, Ethan Michael! He was born at 3:11 pm, weighing 6 lbs 5 oz. He's a cutie pie! I was honored to be Stephanie's labor nurse today. She was great, but baby Ethan's heart tones had a different idea. He made me work extra hard to keep her from having a c-section! I should get paid triple for that! :) He was born with the cord wrapped 3 times around his neck... Ha, explaining the heart tones! He had a scary "I'm not getting enough oxygen spell" & is now spending the night in the NICU. A heart echo showed to be normal, thank God, but he still needs some oxygen. Stephanie was a fabulous patient & is feeling good. The proud parents are relieved their baby is doing okay. I do have to admit that I was really scared for the echo results, especially when my coworker's 6 month old baby was just placed on the heart transplant list (God bless her). Ethan, be strong buddy! Jason and Stephanie, thank you for letting me be a part of your very special day!!! You can't explain the joy of taking care of your sister-in-law while she labors and delivers a miracle. Pure joy. Congratulations on baby boy #3!
