Here it is! It's true... we are in the process of finishing our basement. It really all just fell into our laps starting in April. With Seth working from home and having an office in the front of the house, he started running across the street during the construction of our neighbor's house to ask for bids. Everyone is looking for a side job, right? Seth even "chased" an electrician in the car to flag him down after seeing him drive by! We got the hook up with a framer, plumbing/heating guy, fireplace guy, sheetrocker, electrician (thanks to Dave), mud/taper, and my husband (wiring, insulating, painting, wood flooring, and trim). So, 2 months later we have an awesome-looking basement for pretty good prices. We are going to tackle the bar area, fireplace surrounds, and bathroom in the near future (when the bank account allows for it!). The carpet is ready to order and then Seth will be able to move his office to the basement. Hmmmm, what will he see out the back window now???
