Our little baby Ashley has turned into a big girl. Since August 25 she has slept during nap time and bed time all the way through withOUT her Nuk. YAY ASHLEY!!! We are so proud of her. Occasionally she'll mutter the word "Nukie" when she's laying down in a little baby voice, and we usually say "Ashley, you're a big girl now." Today she said to me, "Me baby. Abby big girl." Oh boy! Okay, you can still be my baby, but you don't get your Nukie! ;)
Abby has two Abby's in her class so I suggested that she go by Abigail. She asked me, "Will I have a new head?" She thinks she'll become someone else! I guess she forgot her own full name. She immediately learned the spelling of Abigail and writes it on everything now. If someone calls her Abby, she'll correct them saying "I'm Abigail, not Abby!" Too funny. I told her she's so lucky that she gets 2 names, just like me. She said, "but you have 3 names: Jenni, Jennifer, and Mommy!"
Oh yeah, we have 2 extra mommies in the house these days. Both A girls love to play with their 10 million dolls. They eat with us, take lots of naps (in the most random places), go for walks, go on the potty, and occasionally, yet intentionally, get tossed on the floor. Yikes, I don't know where that comes from! Abby typically is the boss; she's the mommy, Ashley is the "big sisser", and I'm the grandma! They actually call me "Nana Jackie" (thanks Evie and Eli... your Nana has a great impression on my kids!). Oh how we love all this girly stuff. No wonder Daddy would LOVE to have a boy...
